IS1705A Absolute Encoder Stepper Motor (NEMA17)
Product Overview
The IS1705A is a NEMA17 (42mm) integrated stepper motor featuring an absolute encoder, designed for applications requiring immediate position recovery after power loss without homing sequences. This all-in-one solution combines a stepper motor, driver, and absolute encoder in a standard 42mm frame, delivering 0.45 N·m holding torque for precision positioning applications.
The IS1705A operates on 8-48V DC and supports Modbus RTU protocol over RS485 for seamless integration with industrial control systems. The absolute encoder retains the exact rotor position when power is removed, enabling the system to resume operation from the exact stopped position after power restoration. This eliminates the need for mechanical homing switches and the time-consuming homing process required by incremental encoder systems.
The integrated design significantly reduces wiring complexity and panel space requirements compared to conventional motor-plus-driver-plus-encoder configurations. Digital inputs accept 3.3-24V DC signals for direct connection to sensors and limit switches. Comprehensive protection includes overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, open winding, and position deviation detection.
