Product Overview
The IG8 series integrated motor represents Adampower's most compact all-in-one motion control solution, combining a NEMA8 stepper motor, driver, and 1000-line encoder into a single 20mm frame package. With dimensions of just 15.4mm or 16mm mounting bolt spacing and motor lengths from 28mm to 38mm, the IG8 is the ultimate choice for ultra-compact applications requiring integrated closed-loop control. The IG8 perfectly integrates stepper motor and drive technology, saving installation space while simultaneously reducing design and production costs.
The IG8 series is available with either Pulse/Direction or RS485 communication control. The Pulse type (IG8002, IG8004) accepts standard step and direction signals with a maximum pulse frequency of 400KHz, compatible with any standard motion controller. The RS485 type (IG8002B, IG8004B) supports Modbus RTU communication over a simple two-wire bus, enabling remote configuration and control. Both variants feature the same compact mechanical footprint.
The built-in 1000-line encoder provides closed-loop feedback, eliminating missed steps and enabling smooth operation across the full speed range of up to 3000 RPM. The working voltage range of 6-24V DC and driver current of 0.2-1.5A make it compatible with a wide range of power supplies and battery-powered applications. The integrated protection features include overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, open winding, and position deviation detection.
