NEMA24 Closed-Loop Stepper Motor (24IE)

Product Overview

The NEMA24 closed-loop stepper motor (24IE) integrates a 1000-line incremental encoder into the 60mm NEMA24 frame, delivering holding torque of 1.5 N·m and 3.0 N·m in 67mm and 97mm length variants. This series provides the ideal solution for applications requiring the higher torque capacity of NEMA24 motors combined with the positional assurance of closed-loop feedback.

Based on the 24K256 and 24K286 motor platforms, the 24IE series offers multiple current rating options (2.0A, 3.0A, 4.0A for the 24K256 and 3.0A, 4.0A, 5.0A for the 24K286). The differential encoder outputs provide robust noise immunity in industrial environments, and the 8mm shaft diameter ensures efficient torque transfer. Recommended operating voltage is 48V DC for optimal performance across the speed range.

The closed-loop configuration is especially beneficial for NEMA24 applications where the larger frame size typically implies heavier loads and higher performance expectations. Encoder feedback ensures that the motor maintains position even under significant load disturbances, and the active damping provided by closed-loop control eliminates the mid-range instability that can affect larger stepper motors. The automatic current reduction during idle periods minimizes heating and extends motor life.
