AR42 RS485 Integrated Stepper Motor (NEMA17)
Product Overview
The AR42 is a NEMA17 (42mm) integrated stepper motor with built-in RS485 communication, designed for networked motion control systems. Combining a stepper motor, driver, and 1000-line encoder in a single housing, the AR42 delivers holding torque from 0.25 N·m to 0.80 N·m while supporting multi-axis control over a simple two-wire RS485 bus.
The AR42 operates on 12-48V DC and supports RS485 communication for parameter configuration, position/speed control, and status monitoring. The built-in 1000-line encoder provides closed-loop feedback, eliminating missed steps and enabling smooth operation up to 3000 RPM. The RS485 protocol allows up to 32 devices on a single bus, drastically reducing wiring complexity in multi-axis applications.
Each AR42 includes three digital inputs and one digital output for direct interface with sensors, limit switches, and PLCs. The built-in program storage enables standalone operation with pre-configured motion sequences. Non-volatile FLASH memory retains all configuration parameters through power cycles.
