IRO23 RS-485 Integrated Stepper Motor (NEMA23)
Product Overview
The IRO23 is a NEMA23 (57mm) integrated stepper motor with built-in RS485 communication, designed for the highest-torque requirements in the NEMA23 networked motion control lineup. Combining a stepper motor, driver, and 1000-line encoder in a single housing, the IRO23 delivers holding torque of 1.20 N·m to 2.00 N·m, providing robust closed-loop performance for demanding industrial automation applications.
The IRO23 operates on 12-48V DC and supports RS485 communication for multi-axis control systems. The integrated 1000-line encoder provides closed-loop feedback, eliminating missed steps and enabling smooth operation up to 3000 RPM. With support for up to 32 devices on a single RS485 bus, the IRO23 enables cost-effective distributed motion control architecture.
Each IRO23 includes digital inputs for direct sensor and limit switch connection, plus a digital output for alarm or status signaling. The built-in program storage enables standalone operation with pre-configured motion sequences, reducing the processing load on the host controller. Comprehensive protection includes overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, open winding, and position deviation detection.
