The NEMA16 (HS16) is a 39mm 2-phase hybrid stepper motor offering a unique form factor between the common NEMA14 and NEMA17 frame sizes. With dimensions of 39mm × 39mm and motor lengths from 20mm to 44mm, the HS16 series delivers holding torque ranging from 0.065 N·m up to 0.800 N·m, making it suitable for applications that require more torque than NEMA14 but have design constraints preventing the use of a standard NEMA17.
The HS16 series offers a variety of winding options across seven distinct models. Short-stack versions like the 16HS0420 (20mm length, 0.065 N·m) are ideal for extremely tight spaces, while longer models like the 16HS1244 (44mm length, 0.800 N·m) deliver substantial torque approaching the lower end of NEMA23 territory. The diverse current ratings (0.4A to 1.2A) and phase resistances allow designers to optimize for either low-power battery operation or high-torque industrial drive.
Built to the same quality standards as all Adampower motors, the HS16 series features precision-wound copper stators, high-energy magnets, and robust bearing assemblies. The standard 4-lead bipolar configuration ensures compatibility with all major stepper drivers. Custom shaft configurations and lead wire options are available for OEM requirements.
