Product Overview
The NEMA23 (HS23) is the workhorse of industrial stepper motor applications, featuring a 57mm × 57mm frame with motor lengths spanning from 41mm to 112mm. Adampower's HS23 series is the most extensive in our open-loop lineup with over 30 models delivering holding torque from 0.40 N·m to an impressive 12.80 N·m. This broad range makes the HS23 series suitable for everything from light-duty positioning to heavy-load CNC machining.
The HS23 series is divided into multiple stack lengths tailored for different torque requirements. Short-stack models (41mm length) like the 23HS4406 provide compact solutions for moderate loads, while medium-length motors (51mm, 56mm, 64mm, 76mm) like the 23HS5620 and 23HS8630 offer a balanced combination of torque and inertia for general industrial use. Extended-length models (90mm, 100mm, 112mm) such as the 23HS1430 and 23HS2442 deliver the highest torque output for demanding heavy-load applications.
The diverse electrical specifications across the HS23 range accommodate various driver technologies and power supply configurations. Rated currents span from 0.4A to 8.6A, with phase resistances and inductances optimized for both smooth microstepping at low speeds and efficient operation at higher velocities. The larger rotor inertia of longer models provides inherent stability in applications with fluctuating loads. All models feature a standard 6.35mm (or 8mm for the longest stack) shaft diameter and 4-lead or 8-lead wiring for maximum driver compatibility.
