NEMA8 Stepper Motor (HS8)
Product Overview
The NEMA8 (HS8) is an ultra-compact 20mm 2-phase hybrid stepper motor designed for applications where space is at a premium. With a frame size of just 20mm × 20mm, this miniature stepper motor delivers surprisingly capable torque ranging from 0.014 N·m to 0.030 N·m, making it ideal for precision micro-positioning tasks in compact instruments and devices.
Despite its small size, the HS8 series maintains the same 1.8° step angle accuracy (±5%) as larger NEMA frame motors, offering 200 full steps per revolution. The motor is available in multiple stack lengths (28mm, 33mm, and 40mm) to match torque requirements against space constraints. Each variant features precision-wound copper coils with phase resistances and inductances optimized for efficient microstepping operation.
The NEMA8 motors are built with high-grade bearings and a robust housing that withstands demanding operating conditions. With customizable lead wire configurations and shaft options, the HS8 series can be tailored to fit specific integration requirements. The standard 4-lead configuration is compatible with all major bipolar stepper motor drivers, and dual-shaft versions are available for applications requiring encoder mounting or manual override.
